Below - DWFPD helps Santa make his rounds Dec. 20: Santa (AKA firefighter Jim Biskner) prepares to leave Donald Wescott Fire Protection District (DWFPD) Station 3 to patrol Gleneagle, Pleasant View, and Sun Hills distributing candy canes. The pumper was driven by firefighter Tim Hampton and Assistant Chief Vinnie Burns. Battallion Chief Jeff Edwards drove the accompanying Hummer truck with Lieutenant Scott Ridings and firefighter Pete Azzopardi. The Hummer was Santa’s backup "sleigh" in case the fire truck had to respond to a call. Santa’s mission began a few minutes after 10 a.m., in order to treat a walk-in medical injury, showing that Santa really is always watching! DWFPD also features neighborhood visits during July 4th and Halloween, a 15-year tradition.
