At the TLFPD meeting July 17, Ron Thompson, assistant chief and EMS coordinator, reported that the district received a Life Pack 500 AED portable defibrillator from the American Heart Association and the EMS Division of Memorial Hospital. He noted that it is a biphasic unit worth about $3,000.
