New Ad Rates After June 7

OCN is mailed each month to everyone in the Tri-Lakes area. Despite the downturn in the economy, our mailed circulation, which now stands at 13,561, continues to increase every month. Our large circulation and significantly increased costs for paper, printing, and other services have resulted in a 12.6% increase in our average monthly costs over the past year. This has necessitated an increase in our advertising rates, which have remained unchanged since July 2007. The new rates are effective for space purchased after June 7^th. As always, our volunteers are working hard to keep advertising rates to a minimum.

Display Ads

The new special rate for business card size (3.25” x 1.75”) will be $23. Half business card size (3.25” x 0.875”) will be $11.50.

All other ads will cost $4.50 per square inch, for example, 2” x 5” (10 sq. in.) will cost $45.00, 4” x 5” (20 sq. in.) will cost $90.00, quarter-page (5” x 8”, 40 sq. in.) will cost $180, half-page (8” x 10”, 80 sq. in.) will cost $360, full-page (10.38” x 15.75”, 163.485 sq. in.) will cost $735.68.

There is an additional $0.25 per square inch charge for special placement (page or position).

Inserts

If instead of having your ad printed in the paper, you would like to have your advertising circular (up to and including 0.2 oz.) inserted in and distributed with OCN, the cost is $50 per 1,000 ($0.05 per item). You provide the items for insertion. Add $10 per 1,000 for each additional 0.2 oz. Note that a typical sheet of copy paper weighs 0.15 oz. There is a discount of $5 per 1,000 for full-run inserts.
